Ye’s venture into adult entertainment may have spawned a mass exodus of his company’s staff. News broke on Wednesday (May 15) that the mogul’s Chief of Staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, and key players have recently resigned from the Yeezy brand.
Yiannopoulos resigned from the company earlier this month over Ye’s potential launch of the adult platform Yeezy Porn with adult entertainment executive Mike Moz. It was believed that Ye pulled the plug on the idea after removing all the adult content and deactivating his X account; however, it appears his forthcoming venture will develop after all.
Ye’s infatuation with adult content has been well-documented. In 2022, Ye allegedly showed Adidas executives a pornographic video during a business meeting. He admitted to having an addiction to the genre during an interview with Zane Lowe in 2019.
Mike Moz spoke with TMZ in April about Yeezy Porn and working with Ye. “I’ve been having discussions with Ye about a potential collab between Yeezy brand and my team at Vixen Media Group,” Moz tells the outlet. “While it’s too early to give any details, I’m excited about where Ye’s vision takes this. The idea that this project is going to be another porn studio is not correct. It will be like nothing we’ve ever seen before.”
Yiannopoulos shared his resignation letter with TMZ. It reads:
“I cannot be complicit in the production of dissemination of pornographic films and literature, for moral and religious reasons, but also because such material and the kind of people invariably involved in its production represent an imminent danger to my life as a recovering addict and unacceptable risk to my spiritual an physical health as a former homosexual.”
“I tender my resignation. I will deliver an orderly handover by Friday, May 31, 2024, or the first pornography shoot, whichever is sooner. If, at some time in the future, the company publicly and permanently abandons any plan to produce, distribute, or profit from obscene content, it would be an honor to serve you again.”
The exit of other staff members was not confirmed as being related to the porn venture. No new staff has been announced at this time.
Yiannopoulos’ exit follows the termination of former Yeezy employee and popular influencer Julleanna “YesJulz” Goddard in March over an NDA violation.
Yiannopooulos terminated YesJulz via email, and Ye plans to sue Goddard for $8 million. YesJulz welcomed the intended lawsuit and proceeded to berate Yiannopoulos on social media. Goddard would express “compassion” and “grace” to Ye after termination.
