YG has a message after he and rapper Saweetie get into a heated argument.
We previously reported that police were called to the couples home following a dispute over a cell phone.
When officers arrived on the scene, they intervened by separating the couple. There was no evidence that the two were physical, according to police. A noncriminal report was filed to document the situation, but no charges were pressed.
Following the incident, YG took to Instagram to share a cryptic message. He posted via his Instagram story an emoji of a lion and a cheetah. Although it’s unclear if the emoji’s are related to the situation, fans believe YG is calling Saweetie a liar and a cheater. He has since deleted the post.
The two have been romantically linked since April 2023 at Coachella. While YG was performing on stage, he expressed his love for Saweetie. “I love you, girl. With yo fine a**,” he said. She responded, “Rich ni**as love pretty girls. I love you too, baby.”
Saweetie recently sat down with HOT 97’s TT Torrez and talked her career, her relationship with YG, acting and more.
The rapper says one crucial lesson she’s learned along her journey thus far is, “knowing better and doing better.” The rapper says mistakes will happen, but you must learn to forgive yourself. “I’ll be in a situation and I’ll be like ‘that’s what that quote means,’ like the saying ‘if you know better, you do better,’” she begins.
“[But] if you’re out here without a role model, a big sister, a big brother, [or] somebody guiding you, I feel like sometimes mistakes are made,” she says. “But you do have to forgive yourself.”
