Earlier this week, rumors swirled that Young Thug was expected to join the new Blue Origin celebrity flight crew in May. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
On Wenesday (Apr. 16), a parody X account, Daily Noud, shared a post about the now-debunked flight. A slew of other celebrities — like Kendall Jenner, Tom Cruise, Angel Reese, and social media personality Druski — were also rumored to be joining the space crew.

To date, the post has over 21 million views. Despite the post’s virality and online debates it sparked, there has been no proof that the news was, in fact, true. Blue Origin, a private aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company, was founded by Jeff Bezos in 2000. The spacecraft company had its first successful flight on Monday (Apr.14). News anchor Gayle King and singer Katy Perry were among the all-female crew.
Young Thug Calls Out Billboard’s Best Female Rappers List, Advocates for Mariah The Scientist
Earlier this month, Young Thug started a flurry of conversation in the music industry by criticizing Billboard’s list of the greatest female rappers, particularly pointing out the absence of his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist.
The ranking, which places Nicki Minaj at the forefront, has sparked widespread debate across social media since its unveiling earlier this week. On April 9, the Atlanta rapper turned to Instagram to react to a list posted by influencer Akademiks. In his comment, he asked, “Where Mariah at tho 🤔,” emphasizing his view that her impact on the genre warrants acknowledgment.
The Billboard ranking highlights a dynamic mix of artists, featuring trailblazers like Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Lil Kim, Queen Latifah, and Foxy Brown among the top 25. The list also celebrates today’s rising stars, including Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Doechii, and Latto, underscoring the enduring legacy and ever-evolving nature of female rap.
