During Drake’s DRIZZMAS livestream, co-host Adin Ross reignited speculation about a long-rumored collaborative album between Drake and PartyNextDoor.

Ross expressed frustration over the delay, claiming the highly anticipated project was originally slated for release weeks ago. “I’m waiting for you and PND to drop that album,” Ross told Drake. “You said it was going to drop three weeks ago. You lied to me.”

Ross’s comments suggest the album had been scheduled for November 22, the same date Kendrick Lamar released his GNX project. Adding fuel to the conversation, YouTuber Poetik Flakko confirmed the speculation, asserting that Drake and PND’s joint effort was indeed intended for that date. Flakko explained, “Drake was on Adin Ross’s stream last night and revealed something I already suspected. I didn’t want to put my name on it because no one else could back me up, but now it’s out there. Adin Ross kind of forced Drake to let it slip.”

Flakko elaborated on what he called a “conspiracy” behind the album’s delay. According to him, Drake and his team were working with the label to finalize the rollout but faced obstacles that pushed the release date back.

Flakko speculated that Kendrick Lamar capitalized on the delay, strategically releasing GNX to overshadow Drake’s plans.

“Drake wanted to drop on November 22,” Flakko stated. “But there were things behind the scenes that needed to be worked out. Meanwhile, the label allegedly fed Kendrick the information about Drake’s intended release date. Kendrick saw an opportunity to dominate the narrative. He feels he has the culture on lock right now, and this was his moment to either outsell Drake or, at the very least, ensure the numbers worked in his favor.”

The competitive dynamics between Drizzy and Kendrick Lamar have long been a topic of debate among fans and critics alike. While the delay of Drake and PartyNextDoor’s album remains unconfirmed, the conversation has reignited interest in their collaboration. Both artists’ followings eagerly await any updates on the project, which promises to be a significant moment in contemporary hip-hop.

Whether deliberate or coincidental, the timeline has only heightened anticipation. As fans dissect the interplay of strategy, rivalry, and artistry, the potential release of this album now carries even greater intrigue.

Drake’s petition hearings against UMG begin in January. The joint album is coming soon.
