JAY-Z sat down with Rap Radar for an enlightening interview in which he touched on everything from his beefs, to his lyrics, his family, business gems, and everything else in between.

Yesterday (Aug 26), part two of the podcast was released in which he spoke on the much discussed decision to name his newborn twins Rumi and Sir.

The reasons may not be what you thought it was.

“Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter,” he said. “Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.”

He also addressed Blue Ivy’s recent bars on the album 4:44.

“She kept doing that ‘boom shakalaka, boom shakalaka.’ I was like, ‘Oh, she understands the concept of a hook,’” he said. “She’s 5, and she understands the concept of a hook. I was like, ‘What the f*** is going on here?’ One of the great memories.”
