Looks like the Lifetime network has a Michael Jackson biopic in the works. After making some very questionable biopics about Aaliyah, Britney Spears and the cast of Saved by the Bell, Lifetime has announced that it’s time for a Michael Jackson biopic.

The network announced that “Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland” (working title), based on the best-selling book “Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days,” will start filming in Los Angeles next month.

According to Lifetime, the film will be based on the story of Michael Jackson and focus mainly on his lasts days through the eyes of his bodyguards, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard. Chad L. Coleman (The Walking Dead) has been cast as Whitfield while Michael Jackson tribute artist, Navi, will make his acting debut as the King of Pop.

This news comes on the heels of Sky Arts axing their travesty of a Michael Jackson depiction featuring Joseph Fiennes. As far as Michael’s family, Paris Jackson says she will reserve judgement until she sees how they portray her father.

What are your thoughts on a Lifetime Michael Jackson biopic?
