Donovan Mitchell will be remaining with adidas for the foreseeable future.
According to Bleacher Report, Mitchell has agreed to a new multi-year contract extension with Adidas. He will now become the seventh active NBA player to earn a 10th signature shoe with the same brand.
The other active players who have achieved a 10th signature shoe with the same brand include LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Damian Lillard, and Klay Thompson.
The deal will also “deliver Adidas’ further resources for his high school, Greenwich Country Day, to provide students from underserved communities with access to educational resources.”
Mitchell has firmly established himself as one of the premier shooting guards in the NBA. He boasts a resume highlighted by seven consecutive NBA All-Star selections (2020–2026) and three All-NBA team honors. Also, he’s an All-NBA First Team selection in 2025.
MITCHELL’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS
After bursting onto the scene with the Utah Jazz by winning the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest and earning an All-Rookie First Team selection. Mitchell then quickly became known for his explosive scoring and high-stakes postseason performances. Since joining the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2022, he has elevated his game even further. He put up a historic 71-point, 11-assist game against the Chicago Bulls in January 2023—making him just the seventh player in NBA history to break the 70-point mark. And the first to record 70+ points alongside 10+ assists.
Beyond individual accolades, Mitchell’s consistent high-volume scoring, playmaker growth, and leadership have turned him into a perennial franchise cornerstone and playoff focal point.
After an eastern conference finals exit, at the hands of the New York Knicks Mitchell and the Cavaliers are looking to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals.
On August 1, Mitchell and Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Coco Jones officially tied the knot. The couple dated for over two years and announced their engagement in July 2025,
