Metro Boomin’ recently shared that he and Drake had a falling out due to a “personal issue.”

In an interview with GQ, Metro clarified, “Me and Drake, we had a personal issue, and for the record, it wasn’t about a girl or anything trivial like that. It was a situation that really hurt me and let me down.”

He went on to explain, “Take away all the rap entertainment stuff, and it’s like, have you ever had a close relationship with someone, only for something to happen that causes you to fall out? It happens all the time. It’s just normal. The only difference is, this time there’s an audience.”

Metro also reflected on his own actions during the fallout, admitting there were moments he regrets. “I did have my moment online, which I do regret. I should’ve been stronger than that. It was out of character for me. But at some point, it’s like, I don’t rap, so if you’re just going to diss me on all these tracks… I can’t get in the booth, so I’ll just tweet at you,” he said.
