The parents of Christopher Walker, one of Pop Smoke’s murder defendants, want to meet Pop’s family.
As reported on the Jasmine Brand, Christopher’s defense attorney, Christopher Darden, told New York Daily News, the Walker family wants to meet with Pop’s. The attorney said, “The Walker family has asked me to contact the victim’s family so that they might speak privately. I hope to reach out to the family soon.” The attorney mentioned due to the circumstances, Pop’s family, may not be ready for that. The attorney went on to say,
“They might need time. I will also understand if the family is not inclined to have that conversation. Everything we have done and said has been done and said while keeping in mind the great respect we have for the victim and the victim’s family.”
Pop’s mom, Audrey Jackson, told New York Daily News:“This is new information to me. I’ll have to learn more. I’m working on a lesson plan right now. That is my focus. I really can’t say.”
TJB notes Audrey is focusing on her work as a school teacher as she continues to mourn her son. She’s unsure right now but seems open in the future.
Four suspects are facing charges. Christopher was arrested for murder and robbery. The other three suspects’ identities haven’t been revealed because they’re juveniles. Christopher Walker
On February 19, 2020, Pop was killed when armed intruders busted through the second-floor balcony of his Hollywood Hills Airbnb mansion around 4:00 a.m. P.T. Pop was reportedly in the shower when the intruders came in.
