First Space Jam now LeBron James is preparing to remake another classic!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James and partner Maverick Carter a preparing to produce a House Party film for the new generation.
“This is definitely not a reboot. It’s an entirely new look for a classic movie,” James told THR. James, who grew up loving the film, said that the opportunity to bring “House Party” to a new generation is “unbelievable. We’re trying out some ideas for musicians to be cast in and to be a part of the project.”
The original House Party with duo Kid N’ Play was released in 1990, and it was followed up by two sequels. One in 1991 and the third in 1994. It was awoken once again in 2001 with r&b group iMX.
