Sean “Diddy” Combs has seen his projected prison release date moved up by three weeks following his recent transfer to a new federal facility.

According to updated records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the music mogul is now scheduled to be released from custody on February 6, 2028, a shift from his previous projected date of March 2, 2028. The change comes shortly after Combs was transferred to FCI Allenwood, a low-security federal correctional institution in Pennsylvania.

Diddy Receives New Prison Release Date Following Transfer:

The move to Allenwood marks a significant shift for the artist, who previously spent time at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, where he reportedly faced numerous disciplinary challenges that had adversely impacted his time behind bars. While at the New Jersey facility, Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement following allegations that he violated prison rules. These infractions included his alleged involvement in physical altercations and the discovery of contraband cellphones.

Reports from NBC News also alleged that Combs sought VIP treatment while at Fort Dix, purportedly paying other inmates to perform chores, cook meals, and provide massages. Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison in 2025 after a jury found him guilty on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which involves transporting individuals across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

Despite these convictions, he was acquitted of more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. His legal team has navigated a fluctuating release schedule that originally saw him slated for release in late April 2028. Legal experts suggest that the transfer to a lower-security environment like Allenwood may offer Combs a more stable path toward his eventual release.

With a significantly smaller inmate population compared to his previous facility, there are fewer opportunities for the types of confrontations and contraband issues that previously led to delays in his exit date. “Whether or not this date stands still remains to be seen,” noted reports regarding the fluctuating timeline.

The Bureau of Prisons frequently adjusts release dates based on good behavior, participation in prison programs, and disciplinary records.

As of now, the 54-year-old mogul has approximately 15 months remaining on his sentence, though that number could continue to shift depending on his conduct at the Pennsylvania facility.
