Ava Duvernay’s When They See Us is a four-part docu-series unveiling the critical details of the 1989 Central Park Jogger case.
This has become a Netflix most-watched series, bypassing Lucifer. It was released on May 31.

The series focuses on the real-life story of five young black and Latino teenagers who were imprisoned for an attack and rape they didn’t commit. They were falsely convicted and four of them spent 6 years behind bars and one did 13.
When they were finally let free, they received a $41 million settlement and had gotten other money through the state.
