Megan Thee Stallion is looking to make some money off of her catchphrase ‘Hot Girl Summer’. The term, which also turned into a meme, is officially in the process of being trademarked! As confirmed by Billboard, the trademark was filed on July 10th, it was also the same day that the H-Town Hottie publicly responded to her fans on Twitter saying that it was “in the process”.
The term “Hot Girl Summer”, defines women and men as being themselves unapologetically and living in their truth. Many brands such as Forever 21, Wendy’s, and Maybelline have been using it in their marketing.
If the trademark is approved, it will cover products like T-shirts, sportswear, hoodies, among other things.
