An Outkast reunion was almost delivered to fans by Frank Ocean on his debut album, Channel Orange, as a TikToker unearthed an unreleased Big Boi verse meant for the Andre 3000-featured song “Pink Matter” on Wednesday (Jan. 24). The verse would have marked the duo’s first time together since 2003, which would have been a nine-year gap at the time.

TikTok user ReviewsHoneyBee shared the unreleased track audio and backstory with his 18,000 followers, captioning, “Did you know Big Boi had a verse on Pink Matter by Frank Ocean?”

According to the TikToker, the record label would not clear Big Boi’s verse. In the one-minute clip, he played the audio and said: “Did you know that Big Boi also had a verse on Frank Ocean’s Pink Matter, but the label wouldn’t release it.”

Set to appear right before Andre’s verse, Big Boi’s verse raps the following:

“Doesn’t matter if she wanna be with me, so it’s cool / I make her call me B.B. King because I give her the blues / But not on purpose though, she was the perfect hostess / When I come over, we would do the grossest, most beautifulest things on a bed of roses / Would be the coldest when you hit the hardwood floor / We sippin’ ‘gnac, not mimosa, She’s in my naked lap going ham like she’s supposed to / And she could make it clap if I told her / Or make her a$$ spread like the back of a cobra / Standing at attention like a solider / A G.I. Joe, man, see, me, I go in / Like smoke through a chimney / Slow stroke cause she feeling me up in her (ni–a) / Killing me softly, raw dog she wants me / Strong and Black like her coffee, get off me / Act a donkey, I pin her tail to the mattress / I’ve been a player, maker her go from classy to nasty / Sir Luscious.”

“Pink Matter” was produced by Malay, Om’Mas Keith, and Ocean-himself. The song was written by Frank Ocean, Andre 3000, and James Ho.

Channel Orange was released in 2012 on Def Jam Recordings and the debut includes Frank Ocean classics “Thinkin’ Bout You,” “Pyramids,” and “Super Rich Kids.” The album was certified gold in 2013 – according to RIAA.

Frank Ocean sent fans into a frenzy when he previewed new music last October. While nothing new has been released, Ocean did mention he missed his fans during his Coachella headliner in April 2023. Ocean’s best friend Tyler, the Creator is scheduled to headline this year’s Coachella with Doja Cat and Lana Del Rey.

In other Outkast news, Andre 3000 and his flute are set to hit the road with the New Blue Sun Live Tour starting January 29 in Brooklyn.

Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning discussed Andre 3000’s undesire to make rap albums anymore last November. Below is the full conversation between Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez.
