Tierra Whack has caused some controversy on Twitter over the weekend for labeling Eminem as “light skin.”
“Eminem still the best rapper ever whether you can relate to him or not!” the Philadelphia rapper tweeted. In a follow-up tweet, she added, “Eminem is light skin.”
Unfortunately Black Twitter was not here for Tierra Whack’s claim. “Now this is where we gotta put a halt to the shenanigans,” Amberthealchmst wrote.
Another Twitter user said, “He just from Detroit. White [people] are different when they from [Detroit] and Memphis lol”
Cjstayfitted21 tweeted, “On MLK day? 1000 lashes.”
“[And] 50 Cent is dark skinned. Come on now, we [can’t] keep up,” LanceJonhson wrote.
“No. He is a white man. Y’all say anything on the internet,” IAmStepKorleone insisted.
“I feel like popular figures can’t help but have the worst takes,” Kadorekrys added.
A Twitter user wrote, “The blackest Caucasian ever.”
Another one wrote, “He and Latto are the same mixed race.”
“So was Mac Miller. I’m taking it there,” Scottpwrs tweeted.
MyaByaFoFiya added, “PLEASE DELETE THIS. It’s MLK day.”
“No. He’s a dark white man,” BarbershopDVD said.
“No, we don’t claim him,” Wagwanmelon tweeted.
“Exactly what I be telling [people]. They don’t want to believe me,” a Twitter user agreed.
“Let whites be Caucasian in peace,” another user wrote.
