Some time ago we reported that R.Kelly could not afford to hire Michael Jackson’s child molestation lawyer, Tom Mesereau and that his legal team was asking Kelly’s celebrity friends to pitch in to help. It is not clear who the team has reached out to.
One thing that is clear is that R.Kelly’s two girlfriends, Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary are coming to the rescue for Kelly. According to TMZ, the two are joining forces to come up with the funds to hire Jackson’s attorney.
The girls allegedly have potential projects, including a book deal, in the works that could get them the money to give to Mesereau. The girls are also working on doing paid interviews with various media outlets. Kelly’s team hopes that Mesereau could help him reach a not guilty verdict like Michael Jackson back in 2005.
R. Kelly is current;y facing 18 counts of sexual abuse crimes.
