This isn’t good for 2 Chainz at all.
The rapper, as well as Offset, and YG, who collaborated on the 2018 song with him were all hit with a lawsuit and accused of stealing the song “Proud” The accuser, Solomon Clanton, who goes by the stage name Slugga, says that their song is very similar to his song with the same title. He also says that the hook on his song is also included in the 2 Chainz version, “I’m just tryin’ to make my mama proud.”

According to the lawsuit Clanton wants the judge to ban 2 Chainz version from playing and wants to receive money that 2 Chainz made from the song.
