Derrick Rose is opening up about his experience with COVID-19 after it was confirmed that he tested positive for the virus.

The New York Knicks guard told reporters, “It’s real. The COVID thing, I know a lot of people overlook it but it’s very serious. It’s real. I had the flu. It was nothing like the flu…It was that times 10.”

He also revealed that his family all tested positive for the virus including his children. Derrick Rose has not played since February due to the NBA’s safety and health protocols. He missed eight games during the All-Star break.

On Monday, he was cleared to return to the game where the Knicks will face the Washington Wizards.
