After facing a tumultuous health scare, it seems like Dr. Dre can’t catch a break.
The mogul’s father, Theodore Young has opened up about his relationship with Dr. Dre in a recent tell-all interview. Young states that he hasn’t seen his son since his grandfather passed away.
He also acknowledged that Dre’s famed has nothing to do with their relationship being strained. “We have no relationship. My other sons love me. They tell me they love me,” he continued. “But coming from where I come from, most young men like Andre who have a big success don’t give a damn about their dad.”
It has been reported that Dre and Young’s relationship became strained way before Dre’s success. Young talked about how he and Dre’s mother, Verna, had broken up shortly after he was born and Verna has also claimed that Young also abused her.
He also reveals that he was not the best at showing love and support for Dre during his childhood.
Aside from this, Dr.Dre has been publicly going through a divorce as well as recovering after suffering a brain aneurysm.
