Drake is speaking out for the first time since the horrible tragedy that took place at Astroworld.

As reported on The Jasmine Brand, Drake said his heart is “broken,” and he’s praying for the families. On an Instagram post, he said,

I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself. My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can, May God be with you all.”

On November 5, approximately 50,000 fans attended his festival. During the show, there was a riot, fans rushed the stage, resulting in eight people dying (ages ranging from about 14-27) and 300 people injured.

Travis Scott is being sued, and Drake’s name was also mentioned in the suit since he was on stage. Travis also apologized and made a video talking to fans. He’s also covering funeral costs for the lives lost and offering mental health services. In addition, he canceled the remainder of his festival and another show.

We continue to pray for the lives lost and anyone impacted by this horrible event. Take a look at Ebro in the AM talking about everything:
