Governor Phil Murphy Lifts New Jersey’s Coronavirus State- At-Home Order

New Jersey is getting ready to open back up. 

Governor Phil Murphy has formally announced that he will be lifting the state’s stay-at-home that he put in place three months ago. 

The state is currently reaching Stage 2 of their reopening plan which includes outdoor dining, the opening of nonessential retail stores. It has been reported that the Garden State has the second most COVID- 19 cases and death among the other states.

In his coronavirus briefing, Murphy said, “With more and more of our businesses reopening, we are no longer requiring you to stay at home, but we are asking you to continue to be responsible and safe.” He also urged residents to continue to wear face masks and to social distance from each other. 

Gov. Murphy also announced that churches, mosques, and other houses of worship may reopen to indoor services with new capacity limits in the coming months with restrictions.
