Rihanna is getting the navy riled up!

As reported on The Jasmine Brand, Riri was spotted in the club recording an exciting sign. While turning up, a video circulated on the Internet of her filming an electronic sign that said, “drop the album Rihanna.” Take a look:

The billionaire mogul hasn’t publicly addressed the sign. She’s been promising new music since 2018. In 2019, she reportedly registered a song named “Private Loving,” but no new information has been publicly released as of yet. That same year, Vogue reported that the singer was planning a reggae album, as writer Chioma Nnandi stated.

“She plans to make a reggae album,” Nnandi wrote. “Though it’s too soon to name a full list of collaborators, one early influence may be Supa Dups, the Jamaican-born record producer who has worked with such dancehall greats as Beenie Man, Sean Paul, and Elephant Man.”

Her last album was 2016’s ANTI. It featured hits still in rotation today like, “Kiss It Better,” “Sex With Me,” and “Work.” Forbes pointed out in 2019, Riri’s Anti made history as the first Black female artist to spend 200 weeks on Billboard. In 2020, Riri’s vocals was featured on Party Next Door’s “Believe It.” Fans got to hear more of her vocals in 2021 on Fat Joe’s “Sunshine” remix.

Earlier this month, RiRi gave fans the option to cop limited edition vinyls of all eight of her albums. It came with various colors and merch. Hopefully, more music is on the way, at some point!
