A few hip hop feuds seemingly got squashed this year.
50 Cent / Rick Ross, Jeezy / Gucci, and French Montana / Jim Jones. We need more of this in the culture, but it may take some time.
Jim Jones has no interest in making amends with Max B. During an interview with Jenny Boom Boom, the Harlem rapper made it very clear when he said, “f*** Max B.” When asked if he’d ever work with him, Jim said, “Tell Max B suck d***. F*** outta here.” Jenny asked if he would ever collab with Max,
“No, people don’t play with me with that conversation. Ain’t nobody can tell me nothin’ about that. That’s the first thing I say. You heard? If that’s how you feel, that end the deal for anybody. No Max talk in my conversation. Period.”
Two years ago, they seemingly made peace during a performance at the Apollo in Harlem. Jimmy played some Max B music. Earlier this year during a jailhouse interview, Max B said their beef was their ego’s clashing.
“It was just egos clashing, a lack of respect, you know what I’m sayin’? A lack of everything. That sh** don’t mix well. Next thing you know [Jim Jones and I] are beefin. It should’ve went a different way. Today, I think we would’ve handled the situation different. We was young. We was all crazy.”
