Nipsey Hussle’s children will begin receiving inheritance checks after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled this week to stop delays by alleged creditors.
According to obtained court documents, Radar Online broke the news on Wednesday (March 20) after the case was closed. A plea from songwriter Tasleem Yasin caused the delay. Yasin requested a halt in payments until her case with Nipsey’s estate over alleged debt was heard.
In 2019, Yasin filed a lawsuit against Nipsey’s estate for unpaid royalties related to “Hustle & Motivation” from the rapper’s Grammy-nominated debut album Victory Lap. The judge found that Yasin’s case has “insufficient evidence” and granted inheritance payments to the Nipsey’s children after reviewing of estate’s final financial report.
Nipsey Hussle’s brother and business partner, Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom, submitted a final report in 2024 stating that all of the rapper’s financial affairs had been resolved. Blacc Sam was appointed administrator of Nipsey’s estate following his death in 2019.
Nipsey’s assets were worth around $11 million. The estate will pay his children $5 million and annual payments. Nipsey Hussle is survived by his two children, a daughter named Emani and a son named Kross.
