Kanye West responds after Nicki Minaj says she won’t clear her verse of “New Body” for his new album.
We previously reported that Kanye shared a screenshot of a text message he sent Minaj. In the screenshot it reads, “Hi it’s Ye. May I call you about cleaning New Body on the new album?”
While on Instagram live, Nicki responds to Ye’s request. She says, “chile, that train has left the station,” she said. “OK? No disrespect in any way.” She also notes that she just put out her own album, Pink Friday 2.
Kanye caught wind of Nicki’s comments and replied during his Vultures album listening party in Las Vegas. He says, “I made that girl rewrite her verse three times for “Monster.” I supported her career… So I don’t know what it is.”
