Michelle has been on a mission to remove her “botched plastic surgery.” She underwent multiple surgeries to remove silicone from her body after receiving an illegal buttock injection called a “hydrogel injection” on the black market.Kimberly warned women to be careful going under the knife. She said, “Woman, I’m not playing with your body. I don’t care if you’re telling me that. Injections are illegal for a reason.”
In 2012, while on the reality show Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, she said she once believed altering her body would boost her career. She told Essence, “I had just got a new record deal and I felt like the bigger the butt the bigger the career. I already had a big butt. It was just ridiculous.” K Michelle told People, It started when she heard about a man in Atlanta who offered to inject her butt and hips with silicone.
“He wasn’t a doctor — it was black market, it was these ‘hydrogel’ injections — that’s what they were being called. When I found out my favorite rapper did it, that’s when I decided, ‘I’m getting it done.’”
She started experiencing fatigue, migraines, and back and leg pain in 2017. Doctors discovered silicone had spread down her legs, damaging her tissue and posing a threat to her overall health. Insider reported, removing illegal butt injections isn’t a “simple task.” “To get the silicone out, surgeons must cut through blood vessels in healthy tissue, leading to long surgeries and excessive bleeding.”
