Former New York Knicks head coach Derek Fisher is having a rough week.
The former NBA champion got his home broken into, and the burglars left with thousands of dollars worth of possessions.
They reportedly broke into is house in Los Angeles and took $300,000 worth of things including his 5 NBA Championship rings.
According to TMZ:
Law enforcement sources tell us the NBA legend reported a burglary at his home Monday morning — telling police he left the home at 7:30 AM and when he returned 3 hours later, it was clear someone had been inside.
We’re told officials believe the perp got into the house through a side door — and went for his jewelry. Among the stolen goods was Fisher’s 5 NBA rings he won during his run with the Lakers. They’re each worth a ton of cash.
Fisher has recently been involved in a beef with NBA player Matt Barnes over an incident last year where the two had an altercation over the guard’s ex-wife Debra Govan.
He is yet to release a comment on the incident.
