Nelly and Ashanti were spotted outside.

A video went viral of their encounter. In the clip, Nelly is smoking a blunt, and Ashanti asks for a pull.

From the footage, it appears that Nelly jokingly said no since Ashanti doesn’t typically smoke. The two laughed after the moment; take a look:

Social media chimed in via the comment section. One person wrote, “he looked like girl, you ain’t finna waste the weed.” Another person wrote, “sis, I don’t think you want what he be smoking anyway! He looking out.”

The fan was referring to Nelly’s viral video of his performance overseas, where he seemingly looked high. He responded a few days later by reposting the video with laughing emojis.

Another person online said, “his response was one of experience. That’s that naw remember last time look.”

Other fans want the two entertainers to rekindle their romance. Someone said, “they need to get back together,” another person wrote, “not the exes linking up like old times, purr.”

Atlanta Black Star points out that Nelly and Ashanti were in Nashville, Tennessee. They had a concert at Bridgestone Arena Nashville.

Nelly and Ashanti dated on and off for 11 years in the early 2000s. The pair went viral last year after performing their song “Body on Me.” Fans felt the chemistry was still there and wondered if she would get back with the country grammar artist. During a different interview, Ashanti addressed it and said we’ll see what happens.

Ashanti had an exciting 2022. She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She also celebrated the 20th anniversary of her self-titled debut album. In addition, she released a children’s book called My Name Is My Story.
