Stacey Dash has opened up about her past addiction to Vicodin.

During her recent appearance on The Dr.Oz Show,  the Clueless actress revealed that she had a “serious addiction to pills and that she would take 18 to 20 Vicodin a day.”

“The Vicodin filled that hole inside of me. It filled that anger. It calmed that anger down. It slowed my brain down. It gave me ease so that I could deal with life. That’s how I became addicted. It’s no one’s fault but my own.”

She also spoke about how her addiction almost cost her her life. “My kidneys were so infected that my blood was septic, and my organs were shutting down. That’s what stopped me. I almost died.”

Stacey Dash shared that she has been sober for five years and counting.

“I just celebrated five years of sobriety. I’m clean, five years. And in these five years, my blessing- greatest blessing is that not only have I been able, to be honest with myself and become a better person,” she said.
