Zaya Wade is living her best life.
The 12-year-old is finally speaking out for the first time since announcing that she was transitioning from male to female.
In a recent interview ,Wade had this to say about her choice to transition. “It feels great. I feel like there was always something that was like I was meant to do but I was never able to find it… I eventually just stopped looking for it and I think I found it.”
She went on to say “it’s important for people to experience life to the fullest”. Zaya, along with her parents Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union were in attendance at the Truth Awards this past Sunday.
The award show was put together by the Better Brothers organization of Los Angeles which honors men and women in the LGBTQ Community.
