Gelo Gets Honest Who Wins at Bball – Him, Lonzo or Melo?

Gelo stopped by HOT 97 to talk to Nessa about his debut album League of My Own, which drops June 27th. He talked about how being part of the XXL Freshman class motivated him to put more music out and how his song “Tweaker” helped fuel his confidence as a rapper. Gelo shared how he got Lil Wayne on the remix, the artists who influenced him like DMX, 50 Cent, and Future, and his love for Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

He also opened up about his $13 million record deal, his upbringing, and how his dad taught him and his brothers to be confident and handle pressure. Gelo reflected on fatherhood, teaching his son how to shoot a basketball, and the difference between raising his son and daughter. He called his album a classic and revealed GloRilla will be featured, with more surprises on the way. He confirmed his brothers Lonzo and Melo have been supportive and talks about if he misses playing basketball.
