YG alongside many celebrities has expressed their anger following the killing of George Floyd while in Minneapolis police custody.

Earlier this week, YG said he’d be dropping a new track called “FTP” (f*** the police) and now it’s finally out! The song doesn’t address people like George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, or Breonna Taylor directly, the direction of the song specifically talks about the police.

YG talks about his own experiences dealing with Compton police as well as how he views them. In one of the lyrics he raps,

“It’s the Ku Klux cops, they on a mission.

It’s the Ku Klux cops, got hidden agendas.

It’s the truth, I won’t stop. Open cases, police already hate me, why not.

Make your rich-ass city look like trash (Look like trash)

To whoever make the rules, we need answers fast.”
