Prayers up!
5 people have been wounded after a mass shooting to place at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. The victims, one woman and four men, were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, the shooting took place on Tuesday evening during a homecoming event. “We were outside of our coronation, basically they let out and everybody was leaving, and then we see two gunshots hit the front window and everyone just started running,” a student named David said. “It was chaos.”
Police commissioner Richard Worley said that the campus police on patrol heard gunfire a little after 9:20 p.m. and found multiple victims shot. Multiple windows were shattered, which led officers to believe that there may have been an active shooter.
“Please Note: An active investigation is currently underway related to a report of shots being fired on or near campus. Please stay clear of the area surrounding Thurgood Marshall Hall and the Murphy Fine Arts Center and shelter in place,” a spokesperson wrote on Morgan State’s official Twitter account.
No arrest has been made as of yet.
