On Thursday (Dec. 19), 50 Cent couldn’t resist mocking Ye, formerly Kanye West, after a surreal video of the Chicago rapper emerged online.
The footage, taken from A&E’s Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath, shows Kanye wearing a mask during a deposition and declaring himself “the richest Black person in the history of America.” When attorney Michael Popok asked him to stop using his phone during the session, Kanye quipped, “Due to my mental geniusness, in order to focus on this bulls**t, I need to be on a phone.”
The video stems from a $20 million legal dispute with MyChannel, a Black-owned company that accused Kanye of reneging on a $10 million investment and misappropriating their technology for his Sunday Service productions. Amused by the eccentric display, 50 Cent shared the clip on Instagram, captioning it, “Wait, this is the best st I have seen. [Laughing out loud at] the deposition. [What the fk is] going on here! [Laughing my a** off].”
Kanye’s legal troubles don’t stop there. Back in November, he faced another lawsuit, as reported by Rolling Stone. Jenifer An, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, alleged that Kanye sexually assaulted her during a 2010 music video shoot in Manhattan.
According to the filing, West placed one hand around her neck while choking her with the other, then forced his fingers into her mouth, moving them in a manner described as simulating forced oral sex. During the alleged assault, he reportedly exclaimed, “This is art. This is f**king art. I am like Picasso.”
Universal Music Group, also named as a co-defendant, allegedly failed to investigate the matter despite being contacted by An’s representatives. As Kanye continues to grapple with mounting legal issues, his erratic behavior remains a focal point of public fascination, drawing both criticism and bewildered amusement from onlookers like 50 Cent.
