Ari Lennox Opens Up About Craving Validation & Love

Ari Lennox shared heartfelt social media posts.

The Dreamville singer, 32, spoke out on X (formerly known as Twitter) and revealed she dislikes that she wants love and validation so badly. Ari wrote, “I hate that I crave validation in every ounce of my life. It is truly a miserable existence.” She continued,

“I hate that I wish I was cool. I’m embarrassing. I don’t know when I’ll ever start loving myself. I don’t know if it’s possible. I can’t even enjoy all that I’ve created for myself.” The “Pressure” singer later said,

“It’s [a] painful reality to not be loved yet to crave it so bad in the most harmful places. To not be able trust anyone. To want people around but to push them away simultaneously. It’s mental misery”

Back in March, she Tweeted, “Have I made myself unattractive by wanting love so bad? By speaking about it? Complaining about it?”

Around that time, she had been single for one year, quietly calling it quits with “Married At First Sight” star Keith Manley. It’s not clear what sparked Ari’s posts, but fans showered her with support. One person said, “It takes work to break down unwarranted barriers. To be loved is to be open; gradually if it’s a must. Being comfortable in the presence of someone you want to share your soul with takes a leap. We don’t know what will happen. My therapist said, ‘Stop fortune telling. Stay up.’”

Another user wrote, “Look at yourself in the mirror and say all of the things you need to hear. Write love letters to yourself. Even when you don’t feel like it. Eventually, those kind words to yourself will become your truth. Sending so much love to you.”
