Cardi B reveals she’s pledged not to vote in the 2024 presidential election, citing “layers and layers of disappointment” with President Joe Biden, whom she backed in 2020.

In a candid interview with Rolling Stone, released on Thursday (May 15), the “Bodak Yellow” rapper bluntly shared her thoughts on President Joe Biden and opponent Donald Trump, stating, “I don’t mess with both of y’all n-ggas.”

“I feel like people got betrayed,” she added, noting soaring cost of living and low wages.

“It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody,” she told the outlet. “Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any fucking thing.”

On the other hand, the Grammy Award-winner revealed that she views Trump as a “dire threat.”

Later, highlighting the potential repercussions for artists of color who speak out against the war in the Middle East, she criticized the United States’ support of the ongoing conflict in Gaza and beyond. She suggested that America doesn’t need to “pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through shit for a very long time.”

“There’s countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [U.S.] won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help,” the “WAP” rapper explained.

“I don’t like that America has this superhero cape on. We never did things to be superheroes. We did things for our own convenience.”

Cardi’s recent comments echo those made last year when she insisted she would not support any candidate whose policies disregard the needs of the people.

“I don’t give a fuck the résumé they send,” she fired off during an Instagram Live session, which later made its rounds on X/Twitter. “I’m not endorsing no presidents no more.”

“Joe Biden is talking about, ‘Yeah, we can fund two wars,’” she went on, noting the U.S. extensive aid for Ukraine and Israel. “Motherfucker’s talking about, ‘We don’t got it, but we got it, we’re the greatest nation.’ No the fuck we’re not. We’re going through some shit right now. We are really, really, really fucked right now.”
