Cardi B isn’t fazed by any hate directed her way, as she believes she’s protected by a higher power. During an Instagram Live session on October 9, while at the studio, the Bronx rapper addressed the recent “weird” energy she’s been feeling but made it clear that anyone sending negativity her way would receive it back in full. “You gonna go through shit because you fucked with me,” Cardi said. She dismissed rumors about her engaging in witchcraft, saying, “It’s not ‘cause I’m a fucking witch like y’all be making it seem… No, it’s ‘cause I’m fucking anointed. I was picked by Jesus! I’m really one of God’s kids.”
She emphasized her belief that she was chosen for success and directly shut down any witchcraft rumors.. “You wanna know how I know I’m anointed? You know how many strippers are in America – in the world – how many strippers have a fat ass, how many strippers could rap? And God chose ME to be famous!” Cardi declared, reinforcing her faith in divine selection over any other explanation.
In other news, Cardi B is battling a lawsuit over alleged unpaid rental fees for a mansion used in her “Like What” music video. The lawsuit, which seeks $35,000 in damages, accuses Cardi and Offset of renting the property under false pretenses and not paying full market value. The complaint claims they posed as if they were filming a TikTok video, but instead shot a full music video.
Cardi firmly denies the accusations, tweeting: “We paid those people $10,000 IN CASH to rent the property… Now they wanna finesse us.” She also shared screenshots of text messages and proof of a $4,500 payment to support her claim. “IRON YOUR BEST SUIT BITCH,” she added, warning her accusers she’ll see them in court.
