Cardi B has declared a temporary break from dating, prioritizing her artistic ambitions over personal relationships.

Over the weekend, the Bronx-born rapper went live on social media to share her decision, emphasizing that January is a pivotal month for her career. She explained that avoiding distractions, including romantic entanglements, is essential to achieving her goals.

“I don’t even want to take d*ck right now because every single time I do, I get distracted,” Cardi candidly admitted. “January is very, very important, and I have a mission to complete. If I don’t, it’s gonna mess up the whole schedule for this year.”

Her commitment to staying focused reflects a determined mindset as she navigates the early days of the new year.

The “Bodak Yellow” artist admitted she’s already faced challenges in sticking to her resolution but has managed to remain steadfast.

“I’m so proud of myself,” she noted, adding that emotional entanglements often hinder her creative process. “I’m a very emotional person, and when I get caught up, it affects my work. You can hear it in my music, see it in my face—I just don’t thrive when I’m overwhelmed.”

Cardi B also shared how minor frustrations in relationships can derail her focus.

“If I text you and you don’t text back in thirty minutes, I’m pissed for two hours. That’s time I could be working, so I’m not even entertaining guys right now.”

Her disciplined approach underscores her dedication to delivering on her professional commitments before diving back into the dating scene.
