Cassie Files Lawsuit Against Diddy; Accuses Him Of Rape, Abuse, & Much More

According to a New York Times report, “Sean Combs… was sued in federal court on Thursday by Cassie, an R&B singer once signed to his label, who accused Mr. Combs of rape, and of repeated physical abuse over about a decade.”

Casandra Ventura, better known as Cassie, told the Times “After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

The allegations in the lawsuit accuse Combs of rape, physical violence towards Cassie, heavy doses of drugs, prostitution, voyeurism, and much more. Thursday’s lawsuit also accuses Diddy of sexual battery, sexual assault and violations of New York City’s gender-motivated violence law. The lawsuit is filled with grizzly details about Combs alleged abuse of Cassie over the course of many years. One bullet point in the lawsuit claims that Combs “Blew up a man’s car after he learned that he was romantically interested in Ms. Ventura.” The Times reports that the car belonged to Kid Cudi “Mr. Combs grew so angry about her dating the rapper Kid Cudi that he said he would blow up the rapper’s car.’ Around that time, the suit says, ‘Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway.’” A lawyer for Diddy, Ben Brafman told the New York Times said: “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”This lawsuit comes less than 48 hours after Combs’ lawsuit with alcohol giant Diageo was paused until 2024. It looks like much of Diddy’s 2024 will be spent in court.
