Boxing star Adrien Broner (35-4) shot his shot at rap star Coi Leray during her Instagram Live to no avail on Tuesday (April 16).
The flirtatious 34-year-old boxer commented in the 26-year-old artist’s comments, including an invitation to his next fight. “I’m on your body!” Broner commented.
He added: “Be at my next fight in Miami May 31st at the Hard Rock on me [heart emoji].”
Unimpressed by Broner’s offer, Leray chastised the boxing star before ending the livestream.
“Trying to bag me on Instagram Live is crazy,” she said. “Like dead a**. Get the f*ck on. Okay. Like, that’s f*ckin’ corny. I’m not interested. The f*ck are we doing here? I’m going. I’m getting the f*ck off of here. Go look at my post. I’m about to post my cover. Bye, ya’ll. I love you.”
The Shade Room caught it all and posted it on Instagram. Social media users on Leray’s live and in the Shade Room comment section made jokes at Broner’s expense.
One user wrote: “I’m on your body? Like Lotion, sir? Like sunscreen? Who says that?”
Another defended the boxer, saying, “I see some people calling him corny for what he said… At least he shot his shot.”
GloRilla claimed that Adrien Broner slid in her messages while in a relationship in January. Bhad Bhabie said the boxer was in her inbox in 2020 when she was 16. In an interview with Vlad, Broner claimed he wasn’t aware of Bhad Bhabie’s age then.
Leray signed a new deal with Island Records in January and released her new hit, “Wanna Come Thru.” Before starting the live stream, she hinted at the possibility of dropping her last name and only performing under Coi. She will return to the desert to perform in week 2 of Coachella this weekend.
Leray will star in a new animated film this summer, produced by Pharrell Williams.
Broner will fight Blair Cobbs (16-1) at the Seminole Hard Rock in Miami on May 31.
