Nicki Minaj is some hot water.
The rapper is being sued by legendary singer Tracy Chapman for copyright infringement over the Minaj’s “Sorry” song featuring Nas. In the lawsuit, Chapman ensues that Minaj’s unreleased song has samples of her 1988 song “Baby Can I Hold You Tonight”.
The unreleased track was played a day after Minaj released “Queen”. It was quickly removed from the internet since then.
The lawsuit states that the song has some recognizable and memorable parts in it.
Chapman is also suing for damages and an order to prevent Minaj from releasing the track in the future.
