Diddy Shows Love To Shyne’s Thriving Political Career

Diddy is showing Shyne some love!

The former Bad Boy got re-elected as the Leader of the Opposition at the House of Representatives in Belize. Diddy hopped on Instagram and wrote a heartfelt post, paired with a photo of them together. ” He began,

“Words can’t explain how proud I am of Shyne. It’s truly remarkable to see everything he’s gone through and to see him turn his life totally around and get on the path to making a positive impact on his country and his people.” Then the “Gotta Move On” singer spoke on Shyne’s impact on the culture. Diddy said,

“His re-election is a major victory for him, Hip-Hop globally, and the people of Belize. Next stop, PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE! We’re not going to stop until my brother is the Prime Minister. I believe in you! I love you! I’m proud of you!”

Shyne was in jail from 2001 through 2009 for his hand in a nightclub shooting that also involved Diddy. Last year during a Drink Champs interview, Shyne said although he went through a stage of “bitterness,” he doesn’t blame his former boss. At the time, he said, “But in retrospect, I blame it more on the lawyers that were advising him. Because his lawyers were there to secure a ‘not guilty’ verdict by any means.”

In 2020, the “Bonnie-n-Shyne” rapper was elected as the Leader of the Opposition in the House of Representatives in his home country. Complex points out that after government officials attempted to approve an amendment that would prevent ex-convicts like him from running for office, Shyne says Diddy lent him support.

We LOVE to see it.
