Reports indicate that Diddy is now facing two additional sexual assault lawsuits, adding to his growing legal battles.
One claim stems from an alleged incident during a 1991 charity basketball event that ended in a fatal tragedy, while the other details accusations tied to a party he hosted 15 years later. Both cases, filed in court on Friday, December 20, in New York, include a plaintiff identified as Jane Doe. She is represented by attorney Tony Buzbee, who has recently drawn attention for involving JAY-Z in another lawsuit against the music mogul.
In her recent filing, the unnamed woman recounts traveling to NYC in December 1991 for a charity basketball game at City College. The event, which Diddy and Heavy D headlined, tragically culminated in a stampede that claimed nine lives. Before the chaos unfolded, she alleges, Diddy led her to a locker room, promising to introduce her to the rapper who invited her—referred to in the complaint as “Myers,” a nod to Heavy D’s surname.
According to the lawsuit, Diddy at one point handed the woman a plastic cup he claimed contained Coca-Cola, but after drinking it, she began to feel disoriented. The complaint states, “[She] attempted to leave to find her rapper friend on her own, but Combs blocked her exit.” “He told her she needed to stay and that is when she noticed he was touching himself in a suggestive manner. He began to fondle Plaintiff and overpowered her when she struggled. Combs removed her underwear and began molesting her before climbing on top of her and penetrating her.”
After the alleged assault, the woman contends that Diddy urged her to stay silent, implying that “people can come up missing.”
Oklahoma Woman Sues Diddy Over Alleged 2006 Assault at NYC Event
Furthermore, on Friday, LaTroya Grayson, a woman from Oklahoma, initiated a second legal action.
She asserts that in 2006, she was awarded a fully covered trip for two to NYC as part of a radio contest, where the grand prize was access to a “Diddy White Party.” After multiple shifts in both the event’s schedule and theme, she insists she traveled to the city that October to attend.
She claims in the filing that, at the event, she consumed “less than two premade drinks, provided by the waitresses,” and has no recollection after that, only regaining consciousness in a hospital. The lawsuit states, “[H]er shirt was ripped, her underwear was missing, she was not wearing any shoes and the money she had traveled with was stolen.” After arriving back home, she recalls receiving a call from a mysterious woman who warned her against taking any action regarding the assault, insisting that Diddy “was a ‘celebrity’ and that Plaintiff would ‘just be wasting her time.’”
Diddy’s attorneys issued a response, saying, “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone or engaged in sex trafficking. Ms. Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs. Her allegations against him are pure fiction.” “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab. He has faith in the judicial process, in which fact will be separated from opportunistic fabrications like these.”
