Fat Joe Admits His Biggest Mistake Of Not Signing Eminem

Fat Joe

Fat Joe has quietly built one of the biggest careers in the world of hip hop with countless hits that span decades as well as his legacy alongside Big Pun and Terror Squad.

Could Fat Joe’s career have gotten even bigger?

Sometimes it is fun to look back on what if’s in hip hop, and this is one of those times.

During a recent interview in Miami, Fat Joe looked back at a time where the rapper ignored a young white MC from Detroit who later became known to the world as Fat Joe.

“Eminem out here in Miami, he gave me his demo like six different times,” he said. “Everywhere I went was this little white boy and he kept giving me his demo. He was like, ‘Yo, listen to my music, I’m telling you, I’m nice, I’m nice, I’m nice.’ […] I didn’t do it and now he’s the biggest guy in the universe.”

Do you think Eminem would have been accepted if he had signed with the Terror Squad family? He would have fit in as an MC certainly, but we may have never even gotten an introduction as we did with “My Name Is…” alongside Dr. Dre in 1999.

Joe reiterated his mistake on Twitter.

“Biggest mistake of my life,” he wrote.
