Gabriella Zuniga, who earlier this year accused former NFL star Shannon Sharpe of sexual assault in a $50 million lawsuit, announced over the weekend that she’s leaving OnlyFans. The announcement came less than 24 hours after both parties reached a financial settlement, formally bringing the legal battle to a close.

Zuniga had become a polarizing figure online after filing the lawsuit in April, prompting sharp responses from Sharpe’s legal team, who dismissed the claims as an attempted shakedown. On July 19, Zuniga addressed her followers directly on social media: “I am grateful for the overwhelming support you’ve shown me over these past years. This community has provided me with a life I never envisioned. I will remain active on social media and have several exciting projects lined up that I look forward to unveiling.”

Zuniga rose to prominence as a content creator on OnlyFans, where she built a sizable audience. Her decision to leave the platform has sparked fresh speculation—particularly in light of the settlement—about whether financial security played a role in her exit. Sharpe’s representatives had long maintained the relationship was consensual and characterized the lawsuit as meritless.

Sharpe Settles as Internet Reacts

On July 18, Zuniga’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, confirmed the case had been resolved. “Both parties recognized a long-term consensual and tumultuous relationship,” he said in a statement. “After thorough and respectful discussions, I am pleased to announce that we have achieved a mutually agreeable resolution. All matters have been settled, and the lawsuit will be dismissed with prejudice.”

The public reaction was swift. Some online users framed her departure from OnlyFans as an early retirement. “Check cleared. Hello, early retirement,” one comment read. Another added, “Got that bag and dipped out. Black men, we gotta be smarter! Smh.”

Celebrities have quietly chimed in as well—Summer Walker responded with a laughing emoji, a small but telling note in the swirl of public commentary surrounding Sharpe’s personal life. With the legal cloud lifted, Sharpe is expected to return to his ESPN hosting duties, potentially turning the page on a chapter that blurred the line between celebrity, scandal, and spectacle.
