On Friday (Nov. 15), Kodak Black appeared on the latest episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game. During the nearly 47-minute segment, the rapper gave viewers a glimpse into his life, showcasing his impressive car collection and revisiting his roots in Pompano Beach.
Kodak Black’s 2024 has been marked by turbulence, but the rapper seems intent on finding stability with the right support around him. Released from Broward County Jail in February after a probation violation, the “Super Gremlin” artist is navigating his way forward, bolstered by those urging him to embrace a more grounded path.
Midway through the conversation, hosts Gillie Da King and Wallo offered Kodak heartfelt advice, encouraging him to reflect on his responsibilities and influence.
“There are going to be times when you doubt yourself or feel pain, but those babies are counting on you. You’ve got to be here,” Wallo told the father of four, emphasizing the importance of staying present. He cautioned against surrounding himself with enablers, adding, “A lot of people see your success and just say ‘yes’ to you. I’m not here to be one of them.”
Wallo went further, urging Kodak to recognize the weight of his platform. “We’ve got to learn to change the narrative. A lot of young people are watching you.”
It’s a sentiment the hosts have shared with other high-profile guests, including Pooh Shiesty, the late Young Dolph, and Young Thug before his incarceration. Gillie echoed this perspective, reminding Kodak of his stature in the industry.
“Sometimes you need to be reminded that you’re really him. A lot of people look up to you, just like they look up to NBA YoungBoy, Durk, or King Von.”
The timing of Kodak’s interview is noteworthy, coming shortly after a polarizing appearance on Kai Cenat’s livestream. In early November, the rapper drew criticism after footage circulated of him consuming a Percocet and slurring his words, sparking concern among fans and detractors alike. Kodak brushed off the backlash, dismissing social media reactions as “butthurt.”
Despite the challenges, Kodak remains a central figure in contemporary rap, with a fan base that continues to grow. As he moves through a year of personal and public scrutiny, his ability to heed wisdom and recalibrate his trajectory will likely define his next chapter.
