GloRilla found herself in the hot water this week, following an encounter with law enforcement.
TMZ reports that Big Glo was arrested and booked early Tuesday morning (April 16), in Gwinnett County, Georgia, on suspicion of driving under the influence, along with charges of possessing/consuming an open alcoholic beverage container and a separate traffic offense.
According to the arresting officers upon pulling the vehicle over for an illegal U-turn, they detected the smell of marijuana and alcohol inside. Glo was found behind the wheel and despite having consumed alcohol that evening, she allegedly claimed she was fit to continue driving.
Despite her claims, the “Lick or Sum” rapper failed a field sobriety test. Additionally, police instructed GloRilla to take a breathalyzer test, which she allegedly refused. During the interaction, an officer claimed that GloRilla’s breast became exposed, which they had to inform her about as she was unaware.
GloRilla was subsequently taken into custody; however, she was able to post bail and was released from jail a few hours later.
In music news, GloRilla recently released her latest mixtape EHHTHANG EHHTHANG, featuring collaborations with Moneybagg Yo, Megan Thee Stallion, Kevo Muney, Boston Richey, and Finesse2Tymes.
The project also sparked the viral “Wanna Be” challenge, inspired by the Houston Hottie’s and Glo’s new single of the same name. Meg initiated the competition on Sunday (April 7) with a twerk video, jokingly daring others not to challenge her: “IG after dark lol and nobody better not challenge me bc this the best ass on IG [crazy face emoji] or if you think so tag me in your video [crying laughter face emoji] stream WANNA BE.”
The challenge has since been answered by the likes of Latto, Tinka from Baddies Caribbean, Jhonni Blaze and Mizz Twerksum, widely known as one of the Queens of Twerk.
