Issa Rae Is On A Mission To Unite Bardi Gang With The Barbz

Issa Rae plans to use her powers to bring together the fan bases of Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. How will she do it? Through her HBO show, Rap Sh!t.

In a conversation with ET, Rae discussed all things about the newest season and her predictions for the next. For the third season, she is hoping to bring on several women in the rap game currently.

“There’s a list,” she said. “I mean, we want Meg. We want Cardi. Nicki would be a nice little tie-around. If we could unite them… Maybe in season three, we can unite the fan bases, the hives.”

Rap Sh!t is a series that centers around two Miami-based women who decide to pursue a rap career together. The storyline is loosely based on the story of the City Girls and how they formed together to become a rap duo. Both members of the City Girls, JT and Yung Miami, are credited as the show’s executive producers.

Many female rappers have already joined on board in the show’s first two seasons. Sexyy Red hopped on the second season’s soundtrack with her single, No Panties.

“I’m happy that I got to work on ‘No Panties’ for Rap Sh!t. It’s just me having fun on the beat and talking my shit. It’s just like the show: The rap girls running this sh*t,” Red said in a press release.

Other names like Rico Nasty and Kali join Red on the season two soundtrack of the show.
