The Lox is one of the most legendary rap groups in the world.
It consists of three elite MCs, Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch, all hailing from Yonkers, NY. A recent social media post from Jadakiss revealed how they’ve managed to keep their loyalty locked in over the years.
The “U Make Me Wanna” rapper shared a photo with his group members, huddled up, in prayer. In the caption, he wrote, “And they ask us how we manage to stay together for this many years.” Take a look:
Fans flooded the comment section with love and positivity. One person wrote:
“The definition of brotherhood! Long live The Lox,” someone else said, “It’s a common Bible verse that you’ve probably heard or even said many times, ‘when two or three are gathered together in my name, I’m in the midst of them.”
Another person commented, “The realest and illest ish ever. It’s sad how many ppl underestimate the power of prayer.” Someone else wrote, “greatest group of all time.”
The Lox, which stands for, Living Off eXperience, released their debut album in 1998, called Money, Power, Respect under Bad Boy. Over the summer, Jadakiss and DJ Tony Touch made an appearance on CBS Mornings and revealed they have new music and a new film underway.
Earlier this month, they celebrated their first album’s anniversary with a show at Irving Plaza. The Lox also performed at our hip-hop forever concert at Madison Square Garden, and had it ROCKING! The 50 years of hip hop celebration was LIT, and it had all the legends out and on stage, like Mary J. Blige, Wu-Tang, EPMD, Diddy, and more.
The sold out concert was put together by Funk Flex and our sister station, WBLS joined forces. Our very own Flex honored DJ Red Alert, Chuck Chillout, and Marley Marl with awards. Take a look back:
