Jussie Smollett’s case may be close but that didn’t stop the Chicago Police Department from releasing his documents.
On Thursday, the Chicago Police Department released 400 pages of documents from Smollett’s case. These documents included case reports, supplementary files from the investigation, arrest files and more.
Back in January, Smollett claimed that he was the victim a hate crime and has maintained his innocence.
Smollett was indicted on 16 felony counts for allegedly lying to the police. A few weeks later all of the charges were dropped by Kimberly Foxx. Smollett had to do two days of community service and pay $10,000 in court costs.
The police are also preparing to release over 60 hours of video collected from the case sometime next week.
